ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

We take two field trips a year.  The first field trip is to the Denison High School play in December.  Our second field trip is to the Gainesville Zoo in May.

This years play, presented by the Denison High School theatrical department is "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory" on December 9th, 2010.  We leave Van Alstyne Elementary by school bus at 8:15 a.m. and return  by 2:45 p.m.

Children will bring a sack lunch and a drink.  We will eat at Fairview Park in Sherman, Texas weather permitting.

Our trip to the Gainesville Zoo will be May 17th.  We leave Van Alstyne Elementary by school bus at 8:30 a.m. and return by 2:45 p.m.  Please make sure your children wear tennis shoes to the zoo.

Children will bring a sack lunch and a drink.  We will play in the park after we tour the zoo.

If you attend the field trip to the zoo and plan on taking your child with you when you leave, please see me to fill out a release form from the school district.
