ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Dear Parents,

I want to welcome you to Kindergarten.  I would like to introduce myself and give you an idea of what to expect during the upcoming school year.

My name is Elaine Larriviere and I have lived in Van Alstyne for about 20 years.  My husband, Rob, and I have 5 children, l boy and 4 girls.  My son, Justin, and his wife Kelli of two years live in Texarkana where he is a  pastor and she is a third grade teacher.  Jessica is living in CO now working for a ministry called Unchartered Waters that does backyard sports camps all over the U.S.A. and internationally.  She is a photographer, makes videos and helps run the camps in the summertime.  Jaime is a senior, Jennifer is a freshman, and Janea is in the 5th grade. 

I have been teaching in Van Alstyne I.S.D. for six years. I have taught Pre-K for five years; this will be my first year in Kindergarten.   I am so excited to be a part of such a wonderful organization dedicated to excellence.  I am looking forward to a terrific year with all of you and the Van Alstyne family.

Please check your child's folder every night and remove all papers before the next school day.  Every Thursday,  I will send home other important papers in a manilla envelope.  Please sign and return the envelope on Fridays to be used the next week.

Please feel free to call me or email me with any questions or concerns.  My conference period is 8:35 - 9:20 everyday.  Once again, I am looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your children.
