ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

I am Triva Gentlzer and this is my fourth year teaching for VanAlstyne Elementary.  I taught one year in first grade and this is my third year in second grade.  My degree is in elementary education with an endorsement for special education from Oklahoma Christian University.  I have special training for teaching ESL, Autism and Gifted and Talented.  I taught in Whitesboro before having my own children.  I was the director of Western Heights Preschool (Sherman) for 9 years until returning to teach in public school at VA.

I have two wonderful children: Kristen age 14 and Ryan age 11, both attending VAMS.  My husband has worked for Texas Instruments in Sherman for 16 years.
